Definition

Defendant intentionally and improperly causes third party to breach valid contract with plaintiff causing economic harm. Requirements: (1) valid contract, (2) defendant's knowledge of contract, (3) intentional interference causing breach, (4) improper motive or means, (5) damages. Protects contractual relationships from third-party interference.
